MI ATHENA: Finding Your Perfect Balance

Finding a work-life balance that allows you to feel fulfilled in both realms can be overwhelming and challenging. Women and employees alike have been struggling to generate that balance for decades. Now, in a recovering COVID era, that seems to be an even more difficult line to find and, more importantly, draw.

It’s no secret that COVID-19 pushed technology and remote working onto both employers and employees who were not ready for such an immediate, dramatic shift. Today, your desk, computer and long list of to-do items are only steps from your bedroom, living rooms are now offices and kitchens are now break rooms. At the same time, working from home has broken down barriers and provided so many – especially women – more flexibility and empowerment. But that can also generate anxiety and burnout, as it can often blur work hours, placing even more pressure on employees to extend or adjust their schedules into would have been traditionally more personal time. No matter if you work from home, still go into a physical office/workplace or have a hybrid work arrangement, there is no time like the present to revisit tips and tricks to achieve greater balance.

That’s where this last event of the 2022 Michigan ATHENA Series, a women’s leadership organization housed within the MI Chamber, comes in.

Join us virtually Oct. 25 from 9-10 a.m. for “The Business of Human Performance: Having your Mental State Right at Work & Home.” This free event will explore and provide key takeaways that can help manage stress, juggle work and home loads, and help you thrive. Check out this talented group of speakers below who come from many different perspectives, and register now for this vital and timely conversation.

For more information or to register for the event, visit Michigan ATHENA, or contact Leah Robinson at lrobinson@michamber.com.
