A coalition of business groups on Wednesday warned that Democratic-proposed legislation to require carbon-free electricity by 2035 has the potential to “wreak havoc” on Michigan’s economy and the power grid. The MI Chamber of Commerce expressed “strong concerns” in a letter to the House Energy, Communications and Technology as it opened hearings on House Bills 4759-61, which were introduced last week.
