Calling All Middle School Students!
Share your ideas and show off your civics knowledge in the National Civics Bee®.
About the Bee
The top three finalists from the Northern competition will advance to the state competition July 9 in Lansing. The state finalist will then get the chance to represent the Great Lakes State and compete nationally in Washington, D.C in the fall of 2025.
How It Works
All middle school students from any Northern Michigan public, private, charter, or home school, including across the Upper Peninsula, with an idea about using civics to solve a challenge in their community, were eligible to participate.
While the essay portal is now closed, stay tuned for next year’s competition! In the meantime, check out the essay guide from this year.
