Work from Home Property Tax Fix Heads to Governor

Advocacy News – December 18, 2020

With hundreds of thousands of employees working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses ’ personal property has spread out across the state leading to questions on how to file personal property taxes. SB 1203 states that personal property in an alternate location due to work from home requirements should be taxed as if it is located where it normally would be but for the pandemic.

This change only applies to the 2021 tax year only.
