Second round of Going PRO funding now open

Advocacy News – April 23, 2024

What’s new? Applications for the second round of Going PRO dollars are now being accepted. Going PRO, a program long supported by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, provides employers reimbursement for the cost of training or upskilling their employees. Housed within the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO), awards will be provided to local Michigan Works! Association agencies for dispersal to employers.

What’s next: 

  • Based on the first round of applications for this fiscal year, which concluded this past winter, there remains $11 million in funding available to interested businesses.
  • Applications will be accepted until Friday, May 10 at 5 p.m.
  • To apply, determine your eligibility, or for more details, click here.
