On the Road Visiting Members, Michigan Businesses

Advocacy News – February 24, 2022

MI Chamber President & CEO Jim Holcomb has been making the rounds across the state meeting and talking with local and regional chambers of commerce and member businesses.

Today, he had the honor of providing the keynote address at the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber’s 2022 Business Recognition Breakfast where seven businesses, organizations and individuals were the winners of awards like “Small Business of the Year,” “Best New Business” and “Economic Impact.”

The week before, he was thrilled to kick off the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Chamber of Commerce’s Early Edition Breakfast and talk about the current business climate and Washtenaw County’s strengths.

Next week, he hits the Saginaw area where he gets to meet with Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce business and community leaders at their Percolator Breakfast.

As Jim noted, Michigan businesses are facing transitional times and challenges like workforce strain, inflation and supply chain chaos, but when we work together and collaborate, we can harness the opportunities and come out stronger and better than ever. And that strong, growing businesses are a cornerstone for a healthy and thriving state, communities and families.
