Advocacy News – May 24, 2021
After thousands of business leaders stepped up to the Michigan Chamber’s challenge to make their voices heard and oppose the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (MIOSHA) proposed permanent COVID-19 workplace rules, MIOSHA finally withdrew their proposed rules. This means the public hearing, which had been scheduled for May 26, has been canceled.
The MIOSHA website says the following about the hearing: “NEW – The Public Hearing scheduled for May 26, 2021, for 2021-027 LE General Industry and Construction Safety and Health Part 505. Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been CANCELLED.”
