The Michigan Chamber of Commerce today announced its Chamber PAC endorsement of Mike Harris for the May 3 special election in the 43rd House District (Clarkston/Waterford area).
“The Michigan Chamber is proud to endorse Mike Harris,” said Jim Holcomb, Michigan Chamber President & CEO. “As a small business owner and former police sergeant, Mike is well qualified and will be a strong voice for business in the halls of the state Capitol.”
As Wendy Block, Vice President of Business Advocacy and Member Engagement, noted, the Michigan Chamber plays an active role in helping shape Michigan’s future by supporting pro-jobs, pro-growth candidates with the ability to win and courage to govern. The process includes a detailed evaluation of candidates on key issues important to members and advancing a strong, thriving economy.
The Michigan Chamber is a statewide business organization representing thousands of employers of all types and sizes, trade associations and local chambers of commerce from across all 83 counties in the state. The Chamber was established in 1959 to be an advocate for Michigan job providers in the legislative, political and legal process.
