What’s happening: The Michigan Chamber has announced its latest round of 2026 endorsements, backing Judge Casandra Morse-Bills for the Michigan Supreme Court and 12 candidates for the Michigan House and Senate following the August primary.
- Morse-Bills joins Judge Michael Warren, previously endorsed by the Chamber, completing the Chamber’s endorsements for the two Michigan Supreme Court seats on the November ballot.
- The latest round also includes eight State House candidates and four State Senate candidates.
- The MI Chamber will continue to evaluate and endorse candidates throughout the election cycle – stay tuned.
Why it matters: The decisions voters make in November will shape Michigan’s direction for years to come – influencing our economic competitiveness, tax, regulatory and legal environment, and ultimately the ability of businesses to invest and grow and Michiganders and communities to thrive.
For the Michigan Supreme Court, the stakes include maintaining the rule of law and a fair, consistent and predictable legal environment. In legislative races, the Chamber looks for candidates who support free enterprise, private-sector investment and can work collaboratively on practical approaches to moving Michigan forward.
How it works: Michigan Chamber endorsements are determined by our PAC Board, made up of member employers representing different industries and businesses of all sizes from across the state.
- Candidates are reviewed based on their records and positions on issues affecting Michigan employers and the state’s competitiveness. Depending on the seat, the process includes a mix of questionnaires, personal interviews and/or legislative voting records.
