In the midst of substantial labor policy changes, union organizing activity across the country at levels unseen in decades and a flurry of emergent laws and regulations — an effective labor and employment relations strategy is essential.
With implications that extend to nearly every corner of your business regardless of union status – be it manufacturing, sales, legal and compliance, hiring, or retaining talent – understanding what’s changing and developing a proactive strategy has never been more important.
Varnum and the Michigan Chamber are co-hosting a free 2023 Labor and Employment Executive Briefing to discuss several key topics:
- Michigan’s Repeal of Right to Work
- National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Agenda, Policy Changes and Impact of Guidance on Severance Agreements for Both Unionized and Non-Unionized Employers
- Federal Trade Commission Efforts to Ban Non-Compete Agreements
- Michigan’s Reinstated Prevailing Wage Law
- Renewed Focus of Federal and State Agencies on Wage-Hour Issues
The Executive Briefing will take place from 7:30-11:30 a.m. in two locations:
- Tuesday, May 2 – MSU Management Education Center, Troy, MI – 7:30-11:30 a.m.
- Thursday, May 4 – Prince Conference Center, Grand Rapids, MI – 7:30-11:30 a.m.
There is no cost to atttend, though registration is limited to two representatives per company. Space is limited.
