What’s new: The Michigan Chamber has joined the Don’t Tax MI Delivery coalition to oppose any new taxes or fees on delivery services.
Why it matters: Some lawmakers in Lansing are floating a delivery tax as a way to fund roads. But for Michigan’s small businesses — many of which rely on delivery to serve customers — this would mean higher costs, reduced service options and potential job losses.
What we’re doing: As a leading voice in the coalition, the Michigan Chamber will be relentless to protect employers from the onslaught of shortsighted, costly attacks and stem harmful proposals before they gain traction.
