What’s new: During our recent Fearless Femme: Unleashing Courage in Women Leaders webinar, we delved into what it means to “Act Courageously”, one of the Eight Principles of Enlightened Leadership at the core of the ATHENA model. The panel thoughtfully shared their unique experiences of exploring courage: what it looked like, where it came from and how it changed their perspectives moving forward.
Courageous leaders have the strength to stand alone, speak their truth and challenge the status quo. They dare to do more, living their convictions in public spaces. But as we explored during this event, courage doesn’t exist in a vacuum — it’s something that can be built with intention over time.
Key takeaways include:
- Imposter phenomenon? You belong in the rooms you are in — you bring value to the conversation; it is not a mistake that you are there.
- Whether your glass is half full or half empty, you are less thirsty than you were before.
- Feeling stuck? Be 1% better every day. Success should be felt in the small things too.
- Discouraged? Sit with the uncomfortable feedback — even if you fail, you’re learning.
- Being your worst critic? Give yourself the grace that you give others. Rework your inner dialogue.
- And remember: Personal and professional growth look different. Embrace all growth — it’s your journey!
