Advocacy News – March 22, 2022
Businesses across every industry are experiencing immense struggles to fill much-needed positions – challenges facing workplaces across the country. Here at the Michigan Chamber, we know our members aren’t excluded from this phenomenon with 65% of you reporting recently that finding or retaining talent/workers is your most pressing issue.
It’s critical that Michigan is at the forefront of national discussions in how to best address the workforce crisis and build up talent pipelines while positioning employers for growth and the future. That is why we strongly encourage you to join in collaboration with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and make your voice heard through the America Works Initiative survey.
The America Works Initiative is designed to better understand how workforce shortages have impacted each state – including ours. The program recently launched a brief survey, which asks employers about their labor force conditions to help quantify and breakdown the problems and help form national solutions to the ongoing shortage of employees. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to make your business heard at the national level!
If you would like to participate, please click here. The survey will be open until Monday, March 28, 2022.
Stateside, the Michigan Chamber is hosting a new Workforce Solutions Series. Check out one or both of these upcoming interactive webinar opportunities:
