Why it matters:
Decisions made in Washington and Lansing affect everything from workforce and taxes to energy, infrastructure, healthcare and the regulatory environment. The individuals elected in 2026 will help shape Michigan’s future for years to come.

The big picture: The Chamber’s endorsement process focuses on issues, not political labels. Candidates are evaluated based on their understanding of the challenges facing Michigan employers and their willingness to advance practical solutions that strengthen economic opportunity for all, job creation and long-term competitiveness.

Behind the endorsements: Endorsements are made by the Michigan Chamber PAC board, a group of member employers representing businesses of all sizes, industries and regions across Michigan. Candidates are evaluated through a combination of personal interviews, voting records and policy positions and priorities

What’s next: Additional endorsements will be considered and announced following the August 2026 primary election.
