DE&I Series Kicks off Feb. 1, Discussion to Include DE&I Trends for 2023

On Feb. 1, the MI Chamber kicks off the highly popular DE&I Series with 2023 Diversity and Inclusion Trends. This free, virtual event will explore how companies have had to rethink and reshape their DE&I strategies to create an inclusive workspace where employees feel valued and appreciated.

Our moderator, Rochelle Riley, is an esteemed author and public speaker who had a 20-year career as an award-winning Detroit columnist, to then become the City of Detroit’s Director of Arts and Culture. In 2017, she received the 2017 Ida B. Wells Award from the National Association of Black Journalists “for her outstanding efforts to make newsrooms and news coverage more accurately reflect the diversity of the communities they serve” and the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Professional Journalists. Learn more about Rochelle and other highlights of her career.

Joining us in our discussion will be Brett Sinclair, marketing and diversity equity and inclusion consultant with Raven & Lotus Consulting; and Amber Snow, director of diversity, equity and inclusion with Amway. Both panelists will bring their expertise in practical ways that will shape your work culture such as a remote workforce, supporting employee mental health and more. Additionally, the discussion will involve key trends that are emerging in DE&I in 2023.

The Michigan Chamber’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Series seeks to encourage, support and educate employers on the importance of building a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace environment.
