Advocacy News – December 23, 2021
The end of 2021 also marks the final phase of a leadership transition at the Michigan Chamber after two years of planning and execution.
On Dec. 31, the Michigan Chamber’s fearless leader, CEO and President Rich Studley, will retire after 40 years of tireless, dedicated service to the Chamber and the state’s business community.
Taking the helm will be the Chamber’s talented Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Jim Holcomb. Jim has been with the Chamber 14 years and has worked in and around Lansing policy and political circles for over 25 years.
As Rich and Jim both note, the uncertainty, upheaval and transformational times of the last 20+ months and COVID-19 pandemic, have reaffirmed how critical business and free enterprise are to the success of our state, our economy, our communities, and our families. It’s something that your Michigan Chamber promises to never lose sight of. There’s a strong foundation in place and a bright future ahead. The focus on advancing the Chamber’s pillars to “Protect. Connect. Strengthen.” has never been stronger.
A special thanks to Rich for his leadership and all he’s done to move Michigan forward! And a warm welcome to Jim as becomes the Michigan Chamber’s next president and CEO!
