Employers and their unemployment account administrators can sign up for a sneak peek at the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency’s (UIA) new computer system, which is scheduled to launch in mid-December.
Why it matters: The live sessions, hosted by UIA, will provide an overview of key changes to the system and will help users prepare their organization for the new platform, MiUI.
Go deeper: There are several must do actions employers and TPAs should complete before they are ready for MiUi. These include:
- Creating a MiLogin for Business Account.
- Confirming MiWAM access to initiate your MiUI Account.
- Reviewing information in MiWAM and making updates to contact information, payment methods and user permissions.
- Validating current employer-TPA associations and role assignments.
- Familiarizing yourself with the MiUI wage report file formats and test those files by using the Wage Report File Validation Tool.
