Joining the MI Chamber in 1997, Bob has held many roles throughout his tenure. Currently, as the chief operating officer, he serves as the integrator for the MI Chamber, leading the chamber’s business plan and keeping the team accountable for results. He is a problem-solver, resource-finder and a driver for organization excellence, often assisting with strategic planning and many special projects.
Bob also leads the Michigan Association of Chamber Professional (MACP), the statewide network of chambers of commerce in Michigan. In this role, Bob directs professional development, research and best practices for over 300 chambers of commerce.
He holds a B.A. in Advertising and Public Relations from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI. He is a graduate of the US Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management and now serves as faculty. He has also earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designations.
Bob says his favorite part about working at the MI Chamber is that “It’s the best job nobody knew about when going to school.”
