As director of environmental and energy affairs, Mike is responsible for the lobbying responsibilities pertaining to energy, environment, sustainability and infrastructure and transportation. He runs the MI Chamber’s Energy and Environment committee along with several sub-committee groups including the MI Chamber’s Utility and Manufacturing Round Tables, as well as task forces focused on mobility, sustainability and emerging technologies.
Prior to joining the MI Chamber, Mike worked in trade association advocacy, successfully growing a small clean energy trade group as their first executive director. In that time, he developed a strong skill set in the energy, environment and emerging technology issue arenas. Additionally, he spent 10 years working in various roles in the Michigan House of Representatives.
Mike holds a B.S. in psychology from Michigan State University.
