April 27 Webinar on Biden’s Tax Plan to Help Businesses Plan for What Could be Coming

Advocacy News – April 20, 2021

Earlier this month we began seeing the details of President Biden’s infrastructure plan and his accompanying tax proposal, which is expected to raise $2.5 trillion in new revenue. (see previous article “Biden Administration Releases Infrastructure Plan.”)  Since then, businesses and individuals have been anxiously awaiting the details on the specific aspects of the proposal, while the White House meets with congressional leaders to begin mapping out a road toward legislative action.

While many details are forthcoming, experts have begun to better understand the little we do know about the tax overhaul.

As part of the Michigan Chamber’s commitment to keeping our members informed of key policy developments, we are excited to bring together industry experts to share with us what we currently know about the Biden tax plan and discuss what businesses should be thinking about how to respond accordingly later.

Join us on April 27 from 10:00 till 11:00 a.m. for our event “Biden Tax Plan… What If?” to hear from our panel of experts, including Ashley Wilson, Vice President, Government Affairs & Managing Director of Public Affairs for the US Chamber of Commerce; Leon LaBrecque, Chief Growth Officer at Sequoia Financial Group; and Wayne Roberts, Co-Chair of the Bodman Law Firm’s Business Tax Group.

As a precursor to the event, those who are interested can read Leon LaBrecque’s recent article in Forbes, titled “Potential Prospective Tax Increases: A Look At What Might Be Coming,” which can be found HERE.
