Beyond legal counsel, Randy covers lobbying on key issue management areas, including tax policy, workforce and education, as well as certain regulatory arenas. He also staffs the Chamber’s Tax Policy Committee.

Randy carries an impressive record of service in both the public and private sectors. He was most recently an administrative law specialist at the Michigan Department of Treasury, along with serving as an attorney for Regulatory Management Counselors. Before that, he headed state government affairs for ITC Holdings and served as policy director for both the former Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and the Michigan Manufacturers Association after starting his career in the Michigan House of Representatives as a policy advisor and deputy legal counsel.

He holds his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and his law degree from Michigan State University.
