(Lansing, Mich.) – The Michigan Chamber released the following statement from Jim Holcomb, president and CEO, in response to the looming federal budget deadline and risk of a government shutdown.
“Stability matters and averting a long-term U.S. Government shutdown is essential – families and businesses cannot afford the disruption. Michiganders are looking for leadership in Washington not political gamesmanship. It is essential that the U.S. Senate swiftly pass a clean continuing resolution to keep our federal government operating and providing the certainty and services our employers, families and communities count on.”
