We are pleased to report that this week the Michigan Chamber launched a 30-second TV spot highlighting the progress Michigan has made as a state and that our future is bright. Drawing upon the data contained in the Michigan Chamber Foundation’s 2013 Michigan Economic Competitiveness Study, it is clear that our economy is on the right track. Over the past two years, Michigan leads all of the Great Lake States and exceeds the national average in personal income growth, employment is up, and unemployment is down.
Michigan Economic Competitiveness Study
Michigan’s overall economic competitiveness is improving, according to the results of a second annual public policy study conducted by Northwood University on behalf of the Michigan Chamber Foundation.
“Michigan is on an aggressive comeback path,” said Dr. Timothy G. Nash, of Northwood University, who led the study. “Clearly, when you look at Michigan’s competitive position compared to other states, there is still room for improvement, but this is great news for Michigan.”
