Sustainability Summit Series

Join us for a virtual event series on September 21, 2020, and January 26, 2021, as the Michigan Chamber hosts a Sustainability Summit that brings together CEOs, Chief Sustainability Officers, investors and other members of the private sector to share their latest strategies and insights into how they are transforming their business by developing, maintaining and recycling more sustainable products. 

The Michigan Chamber of Commerce has been a leading voice in addressing business challenges by providing effective solutions and promoting sustained economic prosperity in Michigan. The Sustainability Summit extends the Chamber’s commitment to working with members to identify how they can overcome key environmental issues and adjust, adapt and lead the way to a sustainable future.

Know Before You Go Information

For those who registered, we are excited for you to join us for The Michigan Chamber Sustainability Summit, Monday, Sept. 21 at 9 a.m.

Here’s what you should know to get the most out of the Summit:

Log-In: Your personal login link will be emailed to you directly from the event platform, Hopin (virtual event platform company). Please make sure you check your junk and/or spam folders just in case the link ends up there.

Businesses are leading the way in applying new strategies and technologies to solve some of our country’s most pressing economic, environmental and social challenges.  In this session, leading CEOs and C-Suite executives will explain how and why their businesses are leading and innovating with a purpose on sustainability, the challenges they face and how they’ve been able to remain competitive while investing in this area.

10:00 a.m.          Putting the Circular Economy in Motion

Join practitioners and leading thinkers from the private sector to explore leading and practical approaches to achieving a circular economy.  In this session attendees will:

        • Learn how raw feedstock materials can be the key to developing sustainable products
        • Discuss how leading-edge manufacturing is being utilized to develop more sustainable products and packaging
        • Explore the challenges and opportunities associated with shifting away from the take-make-waste model for end of life products
