This fall session there is an opportunity for the State Legislature to keep Michigan moving forward, Michigan Chamber President & CEO Rich Studley told WJR's morning talk show host, Frank Beckmann, this morning during a live interview at the State Capitol.
"We've got to stay the course on Freedom to Work; there may or may not be an effort to repeal that. We need to be very careful to avoid moving government to regulation by petition drive," noted Studley.
"Oddly, you've got lawmakers who repealed the helmet law, but don't want to fix the roads. You've got lawmakers who want to lift the speed limits, but don't want to deal with the need for auto insurance no fault reform. So, there is a lot of work to do."
