Jason Geer, Small Business Advocate and Chamber Partnership Manager for the Michigan Chamber, has been appointed by the Office of Regulatory Reinvention (ORR) to the Rulemaking Process Advisory Rules Commitee. The Advisory Rules Committee (ARC) will assist in reviewing Michigan's regulatory processes in order to satisfy Gov. Snyder's requirement that the ORR perform a systematic review of all rulemaking processes in Michigan.
“The impact of regulations and rulemaking processes on Michigan’s competitiveness with other states cannot be ignored,” said Steven H. Hilfinger, Michigan’s Chief Regulatory Officer and director of the ORR. “An efficient regulatory structure is important to attract economic development in Michigan. We are fortunate to have such a talented and esteemed group of people take the time to volunteer to look at our state’s rulemaking processes.”
