As director of legislative affairs and leadership programming, Leah is responsible for the lobbying responsibilities pertaining to tax policy, cannabis, tobacco and workforce development. In addition, she is the director of MI ATHENA — a women’s leadership organization housed within the MI Chamber.
Prior to joining the MI Chamber, she served as a policy advisory and legislative director in the MI House of Representatives.
Leah holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in National Securities Studies and is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber’s Business Leads Fellowship Program (BLFP) — which focuses on developing community leaders to help solve education and workforce problems.
Her favorite part about working for the MI Chamber is the collective drive of staff to provide the best possible outcomes for members. A common goal to protect, connect and strengthen member businesses motivates the productivity of the team every day.
