When it comes to energy and the environment, rules and regulations can have a significant impact on a state’s overall economic competitiveness. No one knows that better than Jason Geer, Director of Energy & Environmental Policy for the Michigan Chamber, who works every day with state lawmakers and governmental agencies to tackle legislative issues and solve problems on behalf of members.
People don’t wake up one day and say, “I want to be a lobbyist,” at least not most people. But for Wendy Block, Vice President of Business Advocacy for the Michigan Chamber, she knew early on that she had a heart for public policy and problem solving, which made lobbying an easy career choice for her.
What started out in 2013 as a monthly subscription box for foodies looking to explore Michigan-made products is now a full-blown Michigan-made gift box company in Detroit that caters to both people shipping gifts cross country to large-scale corporate gift programs.
