MY BUSINESS ... MYSELF
West Shore Bank was founded in 1898 in the heart of the west shore community of Michigan, and though we've expanded over the years, we remain a local community bank. In 2009, I was elected as the Bank's president and have been happy to call this community home ever since. One of West Shore Bank's core philosophies is to make a real difference - to our customers, to the local businesses, to our communities. It is that passion to positively impact the community that drew me to West Shore Bank, and what excites me about the work we do.
People's relationships with money have always been personal and we don't see that changing. Nevertheless, because of technology, the way people interact with banks to manage their money is evolving. Moving forward, banking must embrace technology, innovate, and find better ways to deliver what's important to its customers.
Every employee of West Shore Bank lives and works in the very communities we serve, and there is a benefit to being local. We're able to partner with local businesses because we know what it's like to run a business in their market.
WHY I BELONG TO THE CHAMBER
At West Shore Bank, we place a tremendous value on the importance of building relationships and making connections. Our membership with the Michigan Chamber affords us a similar opportunity to create connections and friendships with our peers in the business community. Not only is the Chamber a strong advocate for Michigan businesses, but it sponsors top notch programming and continuing education opportunities. Serving on the Chamber's Board has allowed me to engage and better appreciate the legislative process within the state.
