Great news! The Michigan Senate Finance Committee will be taking testimony on Tuesday, March 10 regarding bills to stop Michigan Treasury from its continued illegal assessment of software accessed as a service over the internet (sometimes referred to as the “cloud”.) Senate Bills 82 and 83 were introduced by Senators John Proos and Pete MacGregor – pro-business lawmakers who want to help stop Treasury from taxing these services! The Michigan House Tax Policy Committee has passed similar legislation.
