The Michigan Chamber of Commerce today announced its endorsement of Brian Ellis for U.S. House. Ellis is seeking election to represent Michigan’s 3rd Congressional District, which includes Kent, Calhoun, Barry, Ionia and part of Montcalm counties.

“We are very pleased to announce the Michigan Chamber endorses Brian Ellis for Congress,” said Michigan Chamber President & CEO Rich Studley. “Brian is a business leader who will advance solutions to grow our economy, encourage job creation, and create more opportunities for job providers in West Michigan and across the state to succeed.”

“Brian Ellis’ 30-year business career includes running his own financial advisory firm and serving as president of his own food processing business that employed over 200 people,” noted Jim Holcomb, Senior Vice President for Business Advocacy & General Counsel for the Michigan Chamber. “Brian Ellis is a small business owner who will be part of the solution in Congress and enhance America’s ability to compete in the global marketplace.”

“Brian Ellis understands that balanced budgets, free-market health care solutions, and improving the tax climate will encourage job creation and business growth in Michigan,” said Scott L. Holman, Chair of the Michigan Chamber Board of Directors and President & CEO of King Lake Wilderness, LLC, in Covington. “Brian is a principled conservative who will be an effective, solutions-oriented member of Congress.”

“We can trust Brian to support and vote for policies that promote America’s free-enterprise system,” added Holman. “We strongly endorse small business owner Brian Ellis for this congressional seat.”
