Job Applicants that Lie on their Applications

August 5, 2014

At our offices we often look at each other in amazement when we see some of the job applications and resumes forwarded to us so we can conduct background checks. We see outright lies about previous employment and education. We see people who admit to a criminal record, but only give partial details.

There are actually dozens of internet companies that create fake employment histories. The applicant picks a profession, tells them all the details about the job they supposedly had and, when the employer calls the 800 number, they think they are calling a legitimate past employer…with a real website. Be aware of these companies or use a trusted background screening company who is and can help you avoid being deceived by them.
